theFamilyU is a place of learning to live life to the fullest. God has placed us in families to live, learn, grow, & launch teens into a full life.

HERE’S a Little info about us: This website contains posts (as you can see on the right hand side), pages containing links and information (as you can see on the menu above), and resources for parents and teens (click on “resources” or other tabs above).

So, as the story goes, there were five youth ministers sitting at a table eating a meal (I know, sounds biblical already, doesn’t it?).  We were discussing our desire to serve families (meaning the parents and the teenagers) as they navigate life in a world that wants to destroy them (John 10:10).   The idea came about that there were some things that we could accomplish together that may benefit the families from the congregations we represent.   With over 65 years of experience in youth ministry represented in the discussion, an idea was birthed:  we should do something together as a Community of Christ Followers to equip and educate parents and teens.  theFamilyU concept was born.

Our great hope is that we pool resources together to bring quality information that will help spiritual transformation as it pertains to different topics.  There are many needs that our families have.   Sometimes the need is for information – our culture is changing just as fast if not faster than the stages of our family’s lives are changing.  Sometimes the need is for community – to know that you are not the only one struggling through this and that other families seeking to live Godly lives in the midst of an ungodly culture.  The need will not change is the need for transformation – to look into the truth of the world and the Truth of God and to be changed.
