Having a smartphone will not send you over the edge and turn you into a depressed cyber addict.  However, research does show that the dopamine flow and hits created by messaging, requests, interactive games, truly can become addictive.

The reality of isolation from people by whom we are surrounded by physically as we attempt to connect with others via electronics is all too real.  It causes negative effects on the person using the smartphone and the people who are now being neglected due to the use.

Again, smartphones can be a help in many ways to our lives.  When left unchecked and a person is not accountable for the any destructive changes in behavior that it may cause, the smartphone user and those around them suffer.
